The Provincial Government of Bali is striving to balance the structure of Bali's economy, which has long relied on tourism, through the transformation of Ekonomi Kerthi Bali. This initiative focuses on six key sectors: organic agriculture, marine and fisheries, culture-based manufacturing industries, small and medium enterprises (IKM, UMKM, and cooperatives), the creative and digital economy, and high-quality culture-based tourism. The digital economy has now become a core part of Bali's development through the Digital Transformation of Kerthi Bali, which is based on three time dimensions—past, present, and future—and is characterized by being repetitive, adaptive, and anticipatory. Recognizing the importance of broad collaboration with various stakeholders, the Bali government is fostering an integrated and collaborative digital ecosystem, exemplified by the Bali Digital Festival. This digital transformation extends across all development sectors, reaching down to traditional villages (desa adat), serving as a supporter, problem solver, and driver of new directions in development while maintaining the balance between Bali’s nature, people, and culture for sustainable progress.
The Bali Digital Festival aims to disseminate the direction and ideas of the Digital Kerthi Bali Development to the public while fostering collaboration with stakeholders to create an integrated digital ecosystem in Bali. This festival serves as a strategic step in accelerating digital transformation across various sectors to support the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali through the Pola Pembangunan Semesta Berencana, leading towards the realization of a New Era of Bali that is sustainable and rooted in local wisdom.
